Product Specialist in Molecular Biology or Genetics

Job Description:

 Proactively acts to understand customer needs and identify solutions to non-standard tasks/queries; actively creates business opportunities.
 Determines and develops approaches to achieve quota/ strategies with distributors.
 Leads PCR reagents and Bio-analyzer projects requiring coordination with other functions, organizations.
 Solves a broad range of problems of varying scope and complexity.
 Manage key account sale and technical needs and solutions by working closely with Agilent application engineer.
 Moves a sale through the entire sales process.
 Remains well informed about current industry trends in China.
 Keeps abreast of competition, competitive issues and products.
 Prepares sale and technical presentations, reports and price quotations for distributors.
 Defines and executes territory sales plans through distributors across China.

Requirement:

 Minimum MS degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics or equivalent, PhD preferred;
 Solid technical knowledge in basic molecular biology and good domain knowledge in genomics/ PCR, microarray technologies
 5+ yrs hands-on sale experience in Biotechnology/ genomics preferred;
 2+ yrs experience managing distributors is a plus;
 Excellent communication and public presentation skills;
 Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
 Solid team player with good self management, organizational and prioritization skills;
 Excellent computer operation experience (PC preferred) and familiar with applications such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and NetMeeting.
 Flexibility in working hours and available for up 50% travel.
